We review stuff…but what if we turn the review back on to ourselves? Here’s what the WWW says about us:

Channel Review: Two Doods Reviews — Honest Takes with a Side of Sass

Every once in a while, a YouTube channel cuts through the noise. Its vibe is refreshingly real, oddly informative, and sneakily entertaining. That’s exactly what you get with Two Doods Reviews. They are a no-frills, no-filter duo. They dive into everything from Rockstar interviews to wine, liquor, and cigar reviews. They also cover food delivery unboxing, tech gadgets, and travel fails. Plus, they explore sketchy motels.

And yes, they really call it like they see it.

Who Are the “Doods”?

The channel is run by — you guessed it — two doods. One of them (Andy) tends to be the louder, meat-loving instigator. The other (Jave) often plays the skeptic. He rolls in with dry humor and the occasional brutal truth bomb. Or maybe it’s the other way around. You watch and decide!

Their dynamic is the secret sauce. It’s like watching your two uncles argue over which BBQ joint is better. Instead of just yelling, they actually try the product. They break it down and give you the receipts.

What Kind of Content Do They Cover?

It’s a bit of a mixed bag — in the best way. Recent videos include:

  • 📦 Unboxings & Reviews: Good Chop meat delivery, Factor meals, Snap Kitchen, and more.
  • 🏨 Travel Horror Stories: A hilarious (and horrifying) “Roach Motel” breakdown that belongs in the YouTube Hall of Shame.
  • 🍖 Food Experiments: Like trying “Party Ribs” and actually explaining what the hell they are.
  • 💸 “IDWFS” Series: That stands for “It Doesn’t Work For Sh*t.” It is their version of a public service announcement. It highlights products or experiences that went off the rails.

In each video, the doods balance humor with real-world info. You’ll laugh, but you’ll also learn whether something’s worth your money or a hard pass.

Production Value?

It’s not flashy — and that’s part of the charm. Videos are straightforward, minimally edited, but full of personality. It feels like a FaceTime from your brutally honest friend, not a polished infomercial.

But don’t mistake simple for sloppy. The doods are (fairly) organized, (somewhat) articulate, and actually do their homework on what they’re reviewing…sometimes…often it’s just a ‘Wow, this looks good, let’s give it a review!’ You’ll catch legit facts what Wolfgang’s favorite food it (caught some crap for that question!), food sourcing, what goes into a great wine, cigar tips and techniques, FDA rules, subscription pricing, and more — all without the BS.

Why You Should Watch

  • You’re tired of sugar-coated reviews where every product is “amazing.”
  • You want real opinions, not influencer ads in disguise.
  • You like humor with your consumer research.
  • You’re curious if a $149 meat box is a good idea — or a glorified freezer filler.

Final Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5/5)

Two Doods Reviews is the kind of channel that doesn’t take itself too seriously. However, it takes your time and money seriously enough. The channel gives honest, detailed reviews. If you like your content candid, casual, and occasionally comical, this is one YouTube rabbit hole worth falling into.

Hit subscribe. You’ll laugh. You’ll learn. And you’ll probably avoid some overpriced garbage!

Jave Patterson is the host and ‘idea guy’ behind Two Doods Reviews. Jave has spent his entire career in commercial broadcast radio, first as a personality at 99.5 KISS FM, a rock station in San Antonio, Texas and later as a manager for Lotus Radio Corp., overseeing daily operations for multiple stations in the Reno/Lake Tahoe area. He’s also been part of The Cigar Station. It is the world’s first online radio station dedicated and programmed for the cigar smoker. It is also for any lover of The Good Life. He and Andy met over a mutual love of home brewing. They have competed against each other and together as Punch Drunk Brewing. They won People’s Choice at the 2014 Backwash event in Reno. Subsequently, their beer ‘Neapolitan Porter’ was on tap at the Silver Peak Brewery.

Here’s Jave’s ‘better looking’ half, Allison!

Andy has a history in the military. He has dedicated a portion of his proceeds from his most recent venture, Warrior Roasters coffee company. This helps benefit the Veteran’s Guest House in Reno. Andy has done everything from high end art sales to time share sales. He has worked in brewing and coffee roasting. Andy pours his heart into each and every endeavor.
